Maurice Ndizeye

Head, Infosec

Maurice Ndizeye boasts a decade-long tenure in the banking industry, specializing in Information Technology. Presently, he serves as the Head of Information and Cybersecurity at Access Bank (Rwanda) Plc.
 
Prior to joining Access Bank, he served as the Deputy Head of IT and as Team Lead for Infrastructure and Network Administration at Ecobank Rwanda Plc.Throughout his illustrious career, Maurice has been instrumental in various IT and business projects. Noteworthy contributions include spearheading the successful migration of FCUBS from version 7 to v12, Data center Relocation and Revamp NAC by use of ISE, and ensuring seamless integration of essential infrastructure platforms, connectivity, and security measures. His efforts significantly bolstered the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems at Ecobank Rwanda.

Maurice possesses a diverse skill set spanning Infrastructure and Network Administration, SQL Navigator Database management, Fortigate Firewall operations, and core and non-core banking application support. He also excels in network security management, vulnerability assessment, patch management, incident and response, Management, governance, compliance, and identity and access management.
 
Educationally, Maurice holds a bachelor’s degree of Science in Engineering, Computer science (Upper Class) from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). He is certified as a Network Security Expert by the Fortinet Training Institute and holds Cisco Certified Network credentials in Routing and Switching. Additionally, Maurice has successfully completed the ISO 27001 Lead Implementer Course, demonstrating his expertise in information security management systems eagerly awaiting the certification schedule.
 
Eager to further enhance his credentials, Maurice is currently pursuing membership in the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) program. He has also undertaken various management training workshops, including those focused on Application Centric Infrastructure and Software Defined Area Network from Nigeria in 2023, Infrastructure and Network Management, and Core Banking Application Support from Ghana in year 2017 & 2018. Furthermore, he has actively participated in industry-specific training sessions such as the Rwanda Internet Exchange (RINEX) stakeholders' workshop.
